MESSY 'LEGO' CHURCH
On Sunday 23rd March a large number of families came along for Lego Messy Church. Lego expert, Julian, from www.brickideas.co.uk brought dozens of boxes of Lego for everyone to use. After hearing parts of the Easter Story the children used their imaginations to recreate scenes in Lego.

INDUCTION OF OUR NEW RECTOR
The service on the Sunday before Rachel's Induction was at Sampford Peverell was led by Archdeacon Andrew Beane. This was the last service of the Vacancy and he praised the hard work done by Church Wardens, and in particular, Revd Christopher Rowley, during the last 10 months, in keeping everything going. At the end of the service he took this picture, with everyone raising a hand in greeting to Rachel!
Then on Wednesday 19th March Rachel was finally Inducted as Rector in a joyful service, led by the Bishop of Exeter, at Halberton.
OPEN THE BOOK
Open the Book has been going strong though out the Vacancy and our team of volunteers have been into every school once a month.
The children from each school who have joined in, have really entered into their parts and the behaviour of the rest of the children has been exemplary. They have listened very attentively to each story.
The photo shows 4 team members at Burlescombe school, telling a story that focussed on forgiveness, a core value in our schools.
PUPILS FROM HALBERTON AND UPLOWMAN SCHOOLS UNLEASH THEIR CREATIVITY TO IMAGINE A GREENER FUTURE
Uplowman and Halberton schools have teamed up with St Peter's, Uplowman to play their part in the climate conversation. They were asked one question, 'what would your village look like if it were net zero?' The project was led by Steph Packham, and the children learnt about how they could play their part in caring for creation through a creative task. News of this has reached the Diocese and a full article is on their website . Click here to read it. Congratulations to Steph and both schools.
